Plenary welcomes Emma Warren, Chloé Brayne to the board

Plenary has strengthened its board, adding Emma Warren and Chloé Brayne as directors of its Asia Pacific business.

Emma joins Plenary with more than 25 years' experience as a lawyer including 17 years as a partner at top-tier law firm Allens where she led the firm’s national projects and development practice and was a member of the firm’s executive committee.

She has a long history with Plenary having been the lead legal adviser on many successful projects including AgriBio Centre for AgriBioscience, Single LEAP 1 and 2, Western Roads Upgrade and Sydney Metro City and Southwest.

Following Emma’s recent retirement from the Allens partnership, she now runs her own executive coaching and leadership development business.

Chloé Brayne has replaced Jean-Étienne Leroux and joins Greg Lovell as one of two CDPQ-appointed directors.

As Investment Director for CDPQ in Australia, Chloé is responsible for CDPQ’s infrastructure investment and asset management activities across Australia and New Zealand, including as director for Plenary, Port of Brisbane, Sydney Metro and WestConnex.

Chloé has more than 13 years’ experience in infrastructure investing, mergers and acquisitions and asset governance, including at AustralianSuper where she led its investment in WestConnex 2 and sat on the boards of both Transurban Queensland and WestConnex.

Plenary Chair John O’Rourke said Plenary was fortunate to have such high-calibre individuals join the board.

“These changes have added great depth and variety of perspectives to the board,” Mr O’Rourke said.

“Emma is regarded as a leading adviser on large scale infrastructure projects, and Chloé has a wealth of experience in governance, origination, deal execution and asset management.

Ms Warren said she was delighted to be appointed to the board of a business she knows well, as it continues to expand.

Ms Brayne said she was excited to join the board, noting CDPQ shared Plenary’s passion for delivering quality infrastructure that makes a positive long-term contribution to communities.
