Pimpama State Primary College crowned best education facility

SOUTHEAST QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA: Pimpama State Primary College has been awarded the Best Education Facility over $10 million at the 2017 Master Builders Gold Coast Housing and Construction Awards.

Pimpama State Primary College is one of 10 schools being designed, delivered and maintained by the Plenary Schools consortium in southeast Queensland to cater to the growing population in the region.

Built by Watpac Construction and managed by Delta FM, Pimpama’s second and final stage was completed earlier this year on time and on budget, and now caters to more than 300 children from the local area.

Plenary Chief Operating Officer Glenn Hay congratulated Watpac for its efforts, and the hard work of the whole Plenary Schools consortium.

“This award is recognition of the quality design and construction outcomes that have come from our strong partnership with the Queensland Department of Education and Training,” Mr Hay said.

“We would like to thank Watpac for delivering this high-class facility on time. This great effort ensured the principal and staff could focus on delivering superior educational outcomes from day one.”

Students have been welcomed to nine schools opened across southeast Queensland with all schools expected to reach full completion by the start of the 2019 academic year.

The Plenary Schools consortium – comprising Plenary, Watpac and Delta FM – was contracted to design, construct, finance and maintain the schools for 30 years.
