New schools for the new school year

QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA: Four new primary schools in southeast Queensland have successfully opened, welcoming an influx of students for the new academic year.

Schools at Bellmere, Griffin, Pallara and Deebing Heights have opened as a part of the Queensland Schools Project.

Plenary Group Chief Operating Officer Glenn Hay commended the team on their success so far.

“The consistent hard work from our team at Plenary Schools and our consortium partners Watpac Construction and Delta FM as well as our partnership with the Department of Education and Training, has allowed the schools to open on time for the start of the school year,” Mr Hay said. 

“The hard work is not complete yet, with stage two of construction beginning on another two schools alongside the continued work at a further three in southeast Queensland.” 

The four new schools are in a package of ten schools being delivered as a part of the Queensland Schools Project, through a partnership between Plenary Schools and the Department of Education and Training. 

All schools are expected to be fully complete by the start of the 2019 academic year.

Plenary Schools has the contract to design, construct and maintain the schools for a 30-year period.
