Plenary Named Preferred Proponent for East Rail Maintenance Facility
Published 27 January 2015TORONTO, ONTARIO – Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario announced that the Plenary Group led consortium, Plenary Infrastructure ERMF, has been named Preferred Proponent for the new GO Transit East Rail Maintenance Facility.
The project will support the expanding operations of GO Transit, through the design, construction, financing and maintenance of a new 500,000 square foot train maintenance facility, located in Whitby, Ontario. Plenary Infrastructure ERMF’s design, build and FM partners for the project include:
- Construction: Peter Kiewit Infrastructure Co., Kiewit Canada Development Corp., Bird Design-Build Construction Inc., Bird Capital Limited Partnership
- Design: Stantec Consulting, Arup Canada Inc.
- Facilities Management: Honeywell Limited, Toronto Terminals Railway
Financial Close is targeted for early Spring 2015.
