Victorian Government announces MCEC expansion

MELBOURNE, VICTORIA - The Victorian State Government today announced a proposed expansion of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).

Plenary Group is very pleased to be entering into exclusive negotiations with the Government and working closely with the State and the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust to finalise a masterplan.

“Plenary Group has invested significantly across the entire MCEC South Wharf precinct and we look forward to our continued role in the development of this exciting tourism and events destination,” said Plenary Group Principal, John O’Rourke.

“Given South Wharf’s popularity we believe there is an appetite for further expansion and commercial investment that will ensure the precinct is well positioned for future growth.”
