Plenary calls for contractors for Christchurch Convention Centre Precinct
Published 17 November 2014CHRISTCHURCH, NZ – Plenary Conventions NZ has commenced the first stage in the procurement process to appoint a contractor to build the Christchurch Convention Centre Precinct.
Initial engagement to select interested contractors that have the capacity and expertise to build the Centre will be by way of an Expression of Interest which closes on Friday, 12 December.
A shortlist will be selected to which a Request for Proposals to undertake Early Contractor Involvement Services will be issued with a preferred contractor to be announced around March 2015.
The Expressions of Interest document can be viewed at the Government Electronic Tenders Service website at www.gets.govt.nz.
The Plenary Conventions NZ is a partnership between Plenary Group, Carter Group and Ngai Tahu Property. The consortium was confirmed by the New Zealand Government as the preferred development consortium and investor for the project in August this year.
